The Parks Unit consists of 27 people, of which about 20 work with the maintenance of Sundbyberg's parks, nature, and urban environments.

As a seasonal employee in the Parks Unit, you will work with the operation and maintenance of the municipality's park facilities, squares, playgrounds, and other urban spaces. You will perform the daily maintenance of the outdoor environment in the city with varying tasks.

Your tasks mainly involve cleaning, weeding, and watering. Trimming, mowing, and planting are also included. The work is physical and takes place outdoors. You are also an ambassador for the city and our operations in our public environments. There is also the opportunity to be a mentor for summer-working youth.

We want you to have an interest and experience in working with cleaning and gardening. Gardening education or equivalent competence is an advantage. A minimum B driver's license is required.

Furthermore, we want you to have good professional ethics and promote a good working environment and safety at the workplace. Since you will also cover for regular staff who are on vacation, it is important that you are driven and can work independently, but also in a team. We place great importance on your personal qualities, professional skills, and commitment.

Please submit your application by January 31. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis. The employment is a seasonal position with a full-time scope. We are looking for 2 park and cleaning workers for the season. The position is for 7 months with a start in March/April. Working hours are 06:30-16:00 Mon-Thurs and 06:30-13:00 on Fridays.

Additional Information

A large part of our operations is classified as essential services. The position may be placed under military service within the framework of Sundbyberg's role in total defense.
